Heads of department urged to use expertise to develop district

Agona Swedru, Sept 18, GNA - Mr Ben Mensah, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Agona has called on Heads of Department to use their expertise to promote the socio-economic advancement of the area. "You have your expertise in the various fields of endeavour and it would be proper to use them to transform the district to become one of the best in the Central Region".

Mr Mensah said this when he addressed heads of department in the District at Swedru.

He thanked them for their contribution in the past towards the development of the District and commended for their efforts in the areas of education, health, sanitation and poverty reduction. The DCE assured them of his determination to assist them to work satisfactorily and said that he had just assumed office and would soon tour departments and agencies to get acquainted with the problems to find lasting a solution.

He called for unity and cooperation between them and his office to promote the industrial development in the area. Mr Guy Bobson Lee Siilo, who is on transfer to Cape Coast as the Municipal Co-ordinating Director, urged the heads to work as team to move the area forward.

He asked them to provide the needed assistance to the DCE to enable him champion their cause, adding that, they should work with him no matter the situation.

The Heads called for teamwork, which was only antidote to solve the problems of their various department and agencies.
