Akim Oda The Ministry of Health is now placing emphasis on outreach services to make health delivery accessible to all, Dr Aaron Offei, Eastern regional director of health services, has said. He said outreach programmes have been found to be very important complement to health delivery. Dr Offei was speaking at the first speech and prize- giving day of the Akim Oda community health nurses training school at Akim Oda yesterday. He said the curriculum of the community health nurses training programme has been broadened to include midwifery to enable the nurses to be responsive to the needs of their clients and patients. Dr Offei said the ministry will continue to strengthen the sub- district level health facilities adding that a number of sub-districts have benefited from rehabilitation and re-equipping. In addition, the ministry took delivery of motor-bikes for the sub-districts to augment their transportation system. Gri
