Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Manaf Umar has applauded head coach Kim Grant for reshaping him into a phenomenal player.
The hard-working playmaker attracted massive media attention following his outstanding performance for the Rainbow Family in the Normalisation Committee Special Competition.
He joined Accra Hearts of Oak from the youth side Auroras.
In an interview with Otec FM, Manaf thanked Coach Kim Grant for his role in his life and how he’s transformed him.
“I was promoted to the main team and I got injured on my knee and I went back for treatment.
“I couldn’t make it to the main team because the registration process was over. We played a justify match with the senior team which I was monitored and brought back to the main team by Kim Grant,” he revealed.
“I’ve learnt a lot from him because I was an attacking midfielder and he (Kim Grant) has converted me to play as a second striker which is a plus to me,” he added.
Manaf is now a key part of the Hearts of Oak set up.
