Former Head Coach of Berekum Chelsea, Anthony Lokko has revealed that he is 65-70% through to joining Accra Hearts of Oak.
Anthony Lokko became a household name in the Ghana Premier League after guiding Tema Amidaus Professionals to the premier league in 2013 but left after just one season to join Berekum Chelsea.
And after it emerged that Hearts of Oak are in search of a substantive coach to replace stop-gap trainer Yaw Preko for the upcoming season, many coaches have been rumoured to be in the hunt for the hot seat; it is Tony Lokko who looks likely to land one of the hottest jobs in the local league.
He disclosed on Happy FM that speculations making waves are true, but he’s yet to finalise any deal with the club.
“It’s true that I'm talking to them in regards to becoming their head coach, but I’ll not go further to say anything on it again.”
“I don’t want [to] spill where our discussion have gotten to but from the way things are going; I’ll say I’m 65-70% through with them, but I know they’re in discussion with other coaches too.”
