Accra Hearts of Oak secured their second win of the new campaign after beating high flying Dreams FC 1-0 at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday.

Winger Patrick Razak made it two goals out of two games as he scored the only goal after slotting home in the first half to earn the former Champions all three points.

The home side-Accra Hearts of Oak- who are playing away from their favourite grounds (Accra Sports Stadium) started the game in an electrifying manner, creating several chances including an early corner which was wasted.

Daniel Kordie came close to grabbing the opener, but his effort from distance graced the side net. Hearts dominated the early exchanges but the Dawu boys made sure they subdued the early pressure from Hearts after going forward for the first time in the tenth minute.

The Phobians, who had a torrid start to the season, quickly responded with an attack that resulted in the opener after Patrick Razak connected to a Christopher Bonney cross in the 19th minute- Bonney has now created two goals from two games.

The goal calmed the nerves of the highly expectant Accra Hearts of Oak fans, whose players were reinvigorated by the opener.

Hearts of Oak kept pouring upfront, pressing high and creating chances which were spurned by the forward men.

Dreams goalkeeper Isaac Amoako pulled some great saves- showing why he is one of the most experienced shot-stoppers in the country. He stood between Hearts and any goal in the first half.

Meanwhile, Dreams FC returned form the break the most enthused and revived club, chasing the equaliser. The Dawu-based side had some goal scoring opportunities which were wasted by Eric Gawu- a former Hearts of Oak striker- and youngster Michael Sarpong.

New signing for Dreams FC, Kwadwo Asamoah provided a frenetic finish to the game, when his last minute effort went wide, with the hearts of the Phobians in their mouths.

Hearts have now climbed up to third position with back to back wins as Dreams FC slip to 6th position following the first defeat of the season.
