Hearts of Oak recorded the country's highest ever gate proceeds of GH¢450,000 from the Ghana Premier League derby against rivals Asante Kotoko in Accra on Monday.
The amount is more than the GH¢237,700 realized in September 2013 at the Accra Sports Stadium in a Week 2 fixture.
Hearts pocket half of the amount after deductions to the National Sports Authority, VAT and 10 % of the gross amount to the Ghana Football Association
Hearts sold all 38,000 tickets which the most expensive selling for GH¢100 and the cheapest going for GH¢ 10.
Hearts lost 1-0 to Kotoko in the Week 10 fixture thanks an own goal from their goalkeeper Abdoulaye Soulama.
