Hearts of Oak would file a second complaint against Asante Kotoko, the Phobians’ communications director Opare Addo has revealed.

The Accra-based side are set to drag the Porcupine Warriors to the ethics committee of the Ghana Football Association to justify various allegations levelled by their rivals after the disciplinary committee upheld the Phobians’ protest against Kotoko for fielding an unqualified player in a Ghana Premier League matchday 25 encounter.

Kotoko were docked six points and fined GH¢5,000 for fielding Obed Owusu in the August 2 clash at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The player had earlier accumulated four yellow cards, and was thus, expected to face a mandatory one-match suspension in the fixture which Hearts lost 2-1, but according to Kotoko, the punishment had been served in an Elite Cup match.

“Edmund Ackah and Asante Kotoko general manager Opoku Nti made several allegations against Hearts of Oak,” Addo told the club in an audio media release.

“From here [post disciplinary committee ruling on Owusu], Hearts of Oak will officially write to the ethics committee to drag them [Kotoko] there to answer questions that they saw Hearts of Oak and the disciplinary committee chairman who wasn’t even involved in this particular ruling [in a collusion].

“He [disciplinary committee chairman] wasn’t part of the panel so it surprises us that they should label allegations against Hearts of Oak and the disciplinary committee chairman.

“If we are satisfied, we would take it, but if we’re not satisfied, we promise Asante Kotoko that we would drag this issue to the law court.”

From every perspective, the drama may just not be over soon as Kotoko, Goal understands, are preparing to appeal the disciplinary committee’s Tuesday ruling.
