Heavy police presence as Adenta prosecutes planned protest

Residents of Adenta have massed up in front of West Africa Senior High School, WASS, to embark on a peace walk as planned.

Leadership of the community had issued a statement, calling for the suspension of the walk after government installed streetlights on the Madina-Adentan corridor of N4 on Friday.

The move by government followed a spontaneous demonstration on Thursday after a student of WASS was knocked down by a taxi and killed.

There has been heavy police presence at the venue of the walk as scores join to march for peace.
