Help us undergo psychological exams, we need it to cope

Parents of the three kidnapped girls in Takoradi in the Western Region are appealing to the Ghana Police Service to help them undergo some psychological counselling in order the overcome the trauma they are going through.

The parents made the appeal with a delegation from the police administration on the instructions of the Inspector General of Police David Asante Appeatu led by the Director-General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) DCOP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo- Danquah visited them.

The parents during the visit in which MyNewsGh.com sat through, were very grateful to the Police for work done so far and urged them to do more to bring back their children but appealed for the services of a clinical psychologist to assist the parents of the victims to overcome the trauma they are going through.

Members of the delegation included; the Regional Police Commander,DCOP Vincent Redeemer Dedjoe and his Deputy ACP Mr. Edmund Ohene Bosompem, the Regional Crime Officer, ACP Mr. James Amoako Acheamfour and his Deputy, Superintendent Alhaji Hussein Musah Awinaba, the Staff Officer, DSP Mr. Kweku Ayepah, the Regional Public Relations Officer, DSP Olivia Ewurabena Adiku, the Takoradi District Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Mr. Peter Ofori Donkor, Inspector Ametepey Letsui and as well as Inspector Charles Austin Adjei.

Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, Priscilla Blessing Bentum and Ruth Love Quayson were kidnapped between August and December 2018 and have not been released despite their families paying ransom to the kidnappers.

One Nigerian – Samuel Udoetuk Wills who is the prime suspect in the matter has been arrested an in police custody assisting with investigations with news suggesting another person has been apprehended in connection with the kidnapping in the area.
