Ho, July 9, GNA - A High Court at HO, on Monday refused an application for a Judicial Review of the decision of the Judicial Committee of the Hokpe Traditional Council on a chieftaincy dispute in the Dzolo Traditional Area. Mr. Justice Anthony Abada, Supervising High Court Judge, in refusing the application, said the decision of the Judicial Committee could be challenged by an appeal and not by Judicial Review because the Judicial Committee was a fact finding body. Mr. Oscar Vullor, lawyer, who brought the application on behalf of Arnold Tawiah Adekpuitor, Simon Adekpuitor and Togbe Adetsui, argued that the Judicial Committee was incompetent and prayed the court to declare its decision null and void. The Judicial Committee had ruled in favour of Moses Kusetor and Togbe Kekesi Ahiaku. The Court awarded a cost of 1,000 Ghana cedis against the applicants.
