Holy Name Society Inauguration

Bronx, NY

The Holy Name Society( HNS) of St. Margaret Mary Church (Ghanaian community,

Bronx, NYwas officially inaugurated on June 21st, 2009 in celebration of

Father's Day. This occurred at a colorful Mass conducted by Rev. Father.

Francis Kwame Anane (Chaplain) and Rev. Father. Aguzey at the St. Margaret

Mary Catholic Church Bronx. NY. The society was formed in June 2008.

Fr. Anane, in praised all the men in the community for their efforts and

hard work that had brought the community that far. He also praised the

President of the Holy Name Society, Mr. Sam Senyah, for the formation of the

Society within the Ghanaian community. Rev. Fr. Anane also prayed for

continued success and wisdom for the executive members to lead the society

in truthfulness and dedication.

The President of the Church Community, Mr. Anthony Boadu was decorated by

Mr.Senyah with a Gold Medal of the Society for his support and good

leadership.

During Mr. Senyah's inaugural speech, he praised some key founding members

of the society: Mr. Joseph Amo, Mr. Joe Kumi Amponsah and Mr. Anthony Spio-

Penney for their hardwork. He also asked the community to support him with

prayers for his leadership.

The president also praised the women in the community for supporting the men

in the church and helping them to form the society.
