A homecoming investor from the United Kingdom, Mr. Benjamin A. Kumi has signed a pact with a Real Estate Development Company, Casa Maria Estates Limited for a start-up pilot project.
The co-ordinator of the National Economic Dialogue, Mr. Stephen Asamoah-Boateng witnessed the signing ceremony held in Accra.
Mr. Asamoah-Boateng said government is working towards the bottlenecks that hinder creating an enabling environment for business to thrive.
Mr. Asamoah-Boateng who was the chairman of the recently held homecoming summit, emphasised the importance of the contributions of Ghanaians living abroad towards the building of the economy. He stressed the need for more of such initiatives, as well as relocating into the country and lending their professional expertise.The Homecomer, Mr. Benjamin Kumi who is also a chartered accountant called on the government to work with small-scale enterprises to provide much needed employment as well as help create the right environment to attract foreign investment.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Casa Maria Real Estate Company, Mr. John K. Sagoe hinted the start-up pilot project would consist of 25 units of 3-bedroom houses in a closed community. He gave the assurance that people from all walks of life could afford to purchase the building. Construction is scheduled to start at the beginning of next month.
