Hope For Takoradi

Britain would soon put the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis in top military journals to attract partners and investors.

Additionally, these journals would assist in enhancing existing relationship between the Ghana and British armies and also expose tourist sites and structures available.

Lieutenant Colonel Steen K.E. Clarke, Defence Adviser of the British High Commission, said these when he led the Captain and three crew members of "HMS Montrose" a British War Ship, to pay a courtesy call on Mr Joseph B. Aidoo, Western Regional Minister at the Residency on Tuesday.

He said these were aimed at re-focusing investors and foreigners' attention on other parts of the country.

Mr Aidoo, thanked the Captain and crew and asked the British government to continually support Ghana with aid to enable the country's democratic process to become stable and meet the aspirations of the people.

He called for the institution of a training programme to improve the technological and human resource development of the country.
