Hope Restoration Network (HRN), a non-governmental organisation has donated some items to residents of Otsirikomfo in the Ga West Municipality in the Greater Accra Region.
Food items and drinks including Rox energy drink from Bi-Global Investment, Maaza fruit juice, biscuits and some clothes were donated to people in the community.
Presenting the items, Head of Volunteers of Hope Restoration Network, Michael appealed to government to improve the infrastructure network of deprived communities in the capital.
“I want to appeal to the government of Ghana to improve on the infrastructure network in such community so it can improve their economic activities,” he said.
He noted that schools in the Otsirikomfo community also lack some teaching and learning materials and, therefore, called on the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service to do their uttermost best to equip these rural schools with the requisite materials.
As part of World Children’s Day on Monday November 20, 2017, the volunteers, also known as Change Agents of Hope Restoration Network in partnership with Child to School pledged to support the Otsirikomfo community school with computer and digital library in the first quarter of 2018.
