Hospital Receives Drugs, Equipment

Worawora (V/R), Aug 17, - The Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) Church mission hospital at Worawora in the Jasikan District has received assorted drugs and equipment worth 120 million cedis to help improve health delivery in the area. The items were donated by the Bremen Mission through Dr Christfried Doering, the first German missionary doctor and founder of the hospital. they include surgical instruments, bandages, medicines, operating table, hospital beds and stainless steel sinks. Mr Hans Hoffman, development consultant of the church on behalf of the donors, handed over the items to Barima Owusu Afari, chairman of the hospital management board. Speaking at the ceremony last Friday, Mr Samuel K. Mensah, acting moderator of the church, said Dr Doering has also made available 60 million cedis for the rehabilitation of the hospital's water supply system.
