Hotel for Ghanaian menu underway

A Port Harcourt based Ghananian hotelier lady Marcelin Geraldo has expressed preparedness to establish a hotel where Ghana menu could be readily available.

Lady Geraldo stated this during an exclusive interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt last week.

She said that many Ghananians in the Rivers State capital were worried over non availability of such opportunity to enjoy their native foods.

Speaking about the quality of Ghanain menu, Geraldo stated their food are comparatively rich esspecially as they are prepared with local ingredients.

She explained that the hotel would take off in a rented apartment at Eligbam community in Obio-Akpo Local Area axis of the Rivers State capital.

When established Geraldo expressed optimism that the hotel would attract patronage from all Ghana nationals within and outside Port Harcourt metropolis.

She stated that because some Nigerians also enjoy Ghananian menu she expect increase in demand of their service.

Geraldo however said that she had worked in Frankies hotels and Dela Hotels all in Accra, Ghana where she gained experience in local and international menu.

Geraldo who hails from the Volta Region said she professionalised in tourism service industry through skills training acquired from institute of catering and House keeping and institute of professional studies and cake designing/decoration in the Ghana’s capital city.

She disclosed that these developments followed completion of her tertiary education in her home country before relocating to Nigeria in 2005.
