President of the republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had already responded to claims of Kwesi Nyantakyi saying in the Anas video that he (Nana Addo) is in his pocket.
Considering the level of allegations and claims that took place in the wake of Kwesi Nyantakyi's arrest, it seems the president had already predicted and forewarned against these allegations months ago.
“I think it is also worth pointing out that we should be careful about the new trend that appears to be emerging, where any allegation, no matter how spurious, quickly gains the character of a ‘scandal’ or ‘an act of corruption’ even when it is shot down,” the president on Friday tweeted his previous concern at a media encounter on January 17, 2018.
After watching just five minutes of the controversial video, Nana Addo ordered for the GFA president to be arrested.
This led to the embattled football powerhouse cutting short his trip in Morrocco and reporting to the CID which silently whisked him out of the Kotoka International Airport.
Mr. Nyantakyi, in an investigative documentary yet to-be-aired, sort of armed the president’s opponents with what they adduced is a fair idea of what President Akufo-Addo has turned the presidency into.
