Sources close to the management of Tobinco Pharmaceuticals are crying. The reason for their tears is that they have been let down by a self-styled senior journalist (name withheld for now), whom they alleged took huge sums of money with two promises to help the company (Tobinco) solve its problems.

The first, according this paper’s intelligent sources, was to ensure that there is a total media black-out on the alleged importation of unapproved drugs into Ghana.

The second was to supposedly use his “contacts close to the presidency” to put pressure on the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), to drop investigations into Tobinco activities.

Fortunately for the people of Ghana, in whose interest the FDA is fighting Tobinco, the so-called top journalist has been unable to fulfill the promises made.

On the first promise whiles some media houses have compromised to kill all Tobinco-related stories, other objective media houses that love Ghanaians than money are pursuing the case.

On the second promise, his highly-placed contact have resolved according to The Informer’s intelligence sources within the presidency, and refused to exert pressure on the FDA to stop their investigations into Tobinco’s alleged importation of unapproved drugs into the country.

You want a clue to the self-styled top journalist? One of the clues was that when the late President John Evans Atta Mills was in office, he was constantly insulting him.

Also, the so-called senior journalist belongs to a cabal of so-called journalists who have put the interest of their stomachs and pockets above the nation’s interest. In fact, they succeeded using their conscienceless agenda to destroy the John Kufuor Administration and they are doing same to the Mahama government.

The Atta-Mills administration did not allow their stomach-direction stinking agenda to see the light of day; reason for which they consistently insulted the late President and his closer aides.

Stay tuned for more juicy updates on Tobinco’s activities and how some so-called senior journalists are using it as an opportunity to enrich their pockets using their closeness to the presidency as their trump card.
