A middle-aged man identified as Kwaku Bright has publicly renounced his criminal past after being apprehended for breaking into a residence with a weapon.

According to eyewitnesses, Bright was caught around 1:15 a.m. after forcibly entering a home and was reportedly found with a large cutter and other tools believed to have been used in the attempted burglary.

In a video published on social media platform X, Kwaku Bright was sent to a facility which looked like a police post.

Residents who apprehended him prevented a mob attack and instead encouraged him to confess. In a dramatic moment witnessed by several community members, Bright expressed deep remorse, stating, "I will not steal anymore. Stealing is not good. When you are caught, you could be beaten or even killed. I am very sad."

In a spiritual turn of events, the young man was urged to surrender his life to Christ. Surrounded by local youth leaders and residents, he was led in a prayer of repentance, boldly declaring, "I, Kwaku Bright, accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal saviour. So help me God."

After the confession, Bright was handed over to a police night patrol team, who transported him to an undisclosed police station for processing and custody.
