Ghana’s all-time best Pollster, Ben Ephson has hit back at those criticizing him over failed predictions in the just ended National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries indicating that he is not God to get it that perfect.

“People say John Dumelo will lose and he has won so my credibility is as at stake. I am not God…I am a servant of God that is what people forget. I do research. If they say people say it is obvious then they are naïve. I could have listed hundred constituencies which were obvious”, he revealed in an interview with GHOne TV monitored by MyNewsGh.com.

The Managing Editor of the Daily Dispatch Newspaper had earlier predicted Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo-Prampram Constituency Sam Nartey George and the former Gender Minister, Nana Oye Lithur, will lose in the primaries.

His argument was that Nana Oye Lithur’s former deputy, Rachel Appoh, was out to blur the chances of Oye Lithur, adding the bad blood between the two gives Oyen Lithur’s contender Mohammed Adamu Ramadan a better chance in the Adentan primaries.

“I will be surprised if Nana Oye wins…given the way Nana Oye is going about it and Ramadan, learning a few things,” he shared.

In the case of Sam George, Mr. Ephson noted that the former MP for Ningo Prampram, ET Mensah, would be the major factor to affect his chances.

“Things have built up and it is very difficult for him. Last time he was an underdog, this time if Sam George wins, I will be surprised.

“He’s done very well but this time the odds are against him. ET, love him or hate him, is a factor in Ningo Prampram,” he commented.

It however turned out that most of those he reported were bound to lose won with the exception of Nana Oye Lithur attracting trolls on social media by a section of Ghanaians who say he has become stale in his predictions.
