Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong has expressed admiration for Ghana's first president, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
In a post on X dated June 5, 2024; the lawmaker detailed a number of reasons he believed in the man Nkrumah and his ideals.
"I Believe In Dr. Kwame Nkrumah," Agyapong first posted before adding in another post: "I've done my analysis, my studies, and he's a great man, no doubt about it.
"We have to emulate him and we have to have that breadth and dream big, think big, do things big," he added.
Agyapong has been a key figure in parliamentary politics for over two decades. He will not be returning to parliament after the 2024 elections.
His dream to contest for president on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) failed when he lost the flagbearership race to Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.
There are rumours that though he would not contest as an independent candidate in the upcoming polls, he would also not actively campaign for the Bawumia ticket.
