I can also be a Minister in Akufo-Addo’s government if it’s about education - A Plus

Controversial musician and member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Asare Obeng better known as A Plus has observed that he is a perfect ministerial material under the current administration if it was all about one’s level of education, MyNewsGh.com reports.

He argues that even some ministers under the Akufo-Addo led government are his classmates wondering if Ministerial appointments is all about that without recourse to other qualifications that one needs to deliver in line of his or her duty.

In response to abusive comments hurled at him for lashing at the Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG) Ernest Kwamina Yedu Addison for lacking wisdom and common sense in dealing with the banking crises, he promised to appoint Osei Kwame Despite as minister for Trade and Industry and make Fadda Dickson director general the state broadcaster GBC if he becomes President.

According to him, common sense is supreme because it requires 90% of that to run a country for certain basic things to be done rather than the ‘booklong’ 10 theories that fail to get the country up and running as many will want.

So after my post yesterday about the governor of Bank of Ghana I went to ghanaweb to read people’s reactions and comments. Herh they can insult ooo ???????????????????? I read comments like “illiterate like you what do you know about economy.” Ah!!! I’m in class with one of your ministers so if it’s about education why can’t I be a minister too? ???????????????? so you see, it’s not about formal education. You need more common sense and experience to run a country like Ghana than that education you guys get in this country.

Listen guys, if I become president of Ghana, I will appoint Osei Kwame Despite my minister for trade and industry and make Fadda Dickson director general GBC.

But you see, in Ghana, instead of handing GBC over to someone who has successfully managed Peace FM, UTV, Okay FM, Hello FM, etc, they will find one useless PHD holder whose suit is big enough to stop a hurricane and give the job to him. Tell me what all the masters and kominini holders have achieved at GBC after it was set up.

For 62 years you have been ruled by uncountable educated fools who lack common sense. (Just one or two sensible people.) Professor Menni Fie Nyansa. Dr. Adwen Biaa Nni Me Trim. Very useless people. Politics is so dirty in this country that the better ones have decided to remain in the classroom.

Then you turn around and ask me what I know about Bank of Ghana and economics…. Let me tell you what I know. I know that very soon it will make economic sense to use 50 Ghana cedis to wipe your as* than to attempt to use it to buy toilet paper because it won’t be enough. Is that not economics?
