I deserve best defender award – Amos Frimpong

The skipper of Kumasi Ashanti Kotoko Amos Frimpong has said he deserves to be awarded the best defender in the just ended Ghana Premier League.

In an interview with Spice FM, the defender said he believes Inusah from Heart of Oak and Bashiru from Dreams FC respectively were equally outstanding, but he (Amos) stands a better chance of winning the award.

''Inusah and Bashiru were outstanding for their respective clubs last season but I believe per my performance last season, I deserve this accolade. As a defender I scored eight goals and some assists. I think this should be enough to make me the winner in this contest. With God on my side, I will win,'' Frimpong told Spice FM.
