Ghana's former President John Jerry Rawlings has stated that he does not in any way miss his onetime bosom friend and former President John Evans Atta Mills.
The late President, who fell out with his former boss, died in July 2012 when Ghana was preparing for parliamentary and presidential elections.
He was replaced by his Vice, John Mahama, who led the NDC into victory in the general elections.
Speaking to GHOne’s Nana Aba Anamoah in an exclusive interview, the former military ruler said Mills promised to award people who insulted and fabricated things about him with jobs.
“No, I don’t miss him at all and I would take off my glasses for you to see my face…when I look at him [Mills] and look at this John [Mahama] there have a few commonalities but this John [Mahama] did not line up people on the promise of a job when you insult and fabricate things against me, wife and my family as Mills did but this one has not done that but that is not to say that I don’t think that he is also not going astray,” former President Rawlings said.
