Outgoing Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa, Kobina Tahir Hammond, has expressed his feelings about the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) exit from power and his own departure from Parliament.

In a video shared by Graphic Online on Saturday, January 4, 2024, K.T. Hammond stated, "I feel sorry for Ghanaians because I am exiting power. I have been thinking about it so hard."

K.T. Hammond, a veteran politician, lost his seat to the National Democratic Congress' (NDC) Godwin Animli Dorgbadzi Dorani.

Hammond garnered 13,275 votes, while Dorani emerged victorious with 14,229 votes. The defeat marks the end of Hammond's long tenure as the MP for Adansi Asokwa.

The outcome highlights a significant shift in the constituency's political landscape, with the NDC making inroads in a seat historically dominated by the NPP in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
