The outgoing President John Dramani Mahama has praised himself for efficiently and effectively executing his mandate for Ghanaians during his tenure as Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces.
According to him in his last State of the Nations Address to parliament on Thursday, he disclosed that he has provided leadership with determination to Ghanaians within the period and urged Ghanaians to provide the incoming president the needed support to succeed.
“As I hand over the baton to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, I urge you all to cheer him up as he races on. Coincidentally we all entered parliament in 1997 and left in 2009 because of the presidential elections and shared many things in common. Let us lend him the needed support to succeed’, he stated.
President Mahama among other things catalogued a litany of major achievements chalked under his watch as president and appealed to the incoming president to make good his promise of continuing with projects that are currently incomplete
He mentioned areas in education, housing, and health among others which were initiated but are at various stages of competition.
