New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Nsawam Adoagyri in the Akuapem South Municipality of the Eastern Region Hon. Frank Annor Dompreh has finally broken silence on a tape that is making rounds in the Eastern Region about a perceived meeting he had with the Eastern Regional Director of Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA) Mr. Joshua Attah Mensah.

It was contained in the said audio that the NPP MP and the GYEEDA boss who is currently contesting for the Eastern Regional Youth Organizer held series of meetings at different locations in the country ahead of the 2008 presidential and parliamentary elections.

The MP who was then the Eastern Regional Youth Organizer for the NPP was allgedly captured on the tape negotiating with Mr. Mensah to make available the election strategies of the his party (NDC) for some fees.

In the said tape, it was alleged that Mr. Attah Mensah demanded for five years visa to the United State of America (USA) and an amount of GHS15,000.00 from the then flag bearer and now potential flag bearer of the NPP Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo.

Even though the voices captured were the exact voices of the two, the NPP MP has denied ever holding such a meeting with the regional youth organizer aspirant and has quickly called on the general public to treat that ramous with the contempt it deserves.

Responding to the allegation in a telephone interview, Hon. Dompreh hinted that, it would be dangerous and unacceptable for some person or group of persons of the ruling NDC to embark on such cheap propaganda against him.

“how on earth that a person of Joshua’s caliber who has held various positions and defending the party in various capacities would go that low to divulge silent pieces of information concerning the party’s fortunes for a peanut”, he asked .

He has however advised supporters of the NDC particularly prospective candidates who are seeking for various positions in the upcoming regional elections to embark on clean campaign and desist from damaging each other.

He further warned the followers of the party particularly those in the Eastern Region not drag his hard earn name into their internal politics because he would not take kindly of that posture.

On his part, the potential aspiring regional youth organizer also denied the allegation notwithstanding that they are good friends despite their political philosophy and ideology, hence called on party followers especially delegates to treat it with a pinch of salt.

According to Mr. Attah Mensah who has held various positions in the party including deputy regional propaganda secretary, government appointee, 2008 Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for New Juaben North but step down because of certain concerns, these allegations are symptoms of defeat.

He is also the current national chairman of social media communicators of NDC, an outfit that coordinates all party members who are on social media to protect government policies and New Juaben North Constituency youth organizer and later the constituency organizer.

Mr. Attah Mensah who has distinguished himself in all the positions he has held was recent adjudged as the only GYEEDA director among the ten for outstanding performance by a GYEEDA ministerial committee.

To him, his opponent are employing these strategy to drag his name into the mud, make him unpopular and attractive in the mind picture of the delegates because of the threat he poses to their chances.

For his immense loyalty for the party, in 2008 was made the regional coordinator for National Youth Network to mobilize and educate the youth on the need to vote for the NDC which he did it excellently well.

As the then deputy regional propaganda secretary he was moving from one radio station to the other to defend and propagate the work of the party and was again appointed as the regional coordinator For Volunteers for Mahama in 2012.
