The Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Fomena, Mr. Akwasi Nti Asamoah, has vowed he will resign from active politics if Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako the incumbent Ashanti Regional Chairman does not obtain more than 96% of the total votes in the upcoming congress.

Before the race began, a Kumasi based man of God Prophet Adu Boahene prophesied tht, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiko will lose the elections should the former chairman Mr. Asare Bediako contest.

Howev,er Mr. Asare Bediako has come to deny he is stepping down from the race as being speculated in the media calling on his supporters to treat the information with the contempt it deserves.

During the Easter Festivities , Mr. Asare Bediako was alleged to have met the President Nana Addo who urged him to step down from the race but he has denied the claim saying his meeting with the president had nothing to do with his bid to contest as Regional Chairman of the party.

According to him, the meeting was not centered on politics as being speculated.enge the prophecy by the man of God that, Chairman Wontumi will get between 96 and 98 percent. If it doesn’t come true, I will quit politics. He told Kwame Tanko on Angel Fm in Kumasi this Wednesday according to a report filed by MyNewsGH.com’s Ashanti Regional Correspondent, Syxtus Eshun.

Mr. Asamoah used swear words and insisted that Mr. Antwi Boasiako well known as Chairman Wontunmi will win massively by deflating his closest contender Asare Bediako.

Though Mr. Asamoah stated he is a true Christian, he also said that he does not believe in the prophecy of one Prophet Adu Boahene who earlier said Chairman Wontumi will lose the election.
