President and Chairman of Groupe Nduom (GN) , a multinational conglomerate, Dr Papa Kwasi Nduom has pledged his unflinching support for government in the area of job creation and youth development.

According to the celebrated Ghanaian entrepreneur, the biggest challenge facing the country was youth employment, and called on government and other individuals to help create jobs for the teeming unemployed youth. Speaking at the grand durbar of chiefs and people of New Juaben Traditional area to mark the 20th anniversary of Akwantukese Festival which coincided with the Silver Jubilee celebration of the enstoolmet of Daasebre Prof. (Emeritus) Oti Boateng in Koforidua at Jackson Park at the weekend, Dr Nduom however, said, he and and Progressive People’s Party (PPP) would continue to offer constructive criticisms to help the country develop.

“Daasebre, as Ghanaians we need to be interested in the affairs of our nation, hence the need for all of us to ensure that Ghana works. We should be able to criticize governments when they go wrong and praise them when they do well,” Dr Nduom stated.

According to him, “should things go bad it will affect all of us and not just few individuals”.

Dr. Nduom, commended Daasebre Oti Boateng and his elders for maintaining peace in the area.

That, the business mogul noted, has paved way for companies and individuals such as Groupe Nduom to open up businesses in the area for rapid socioeconomic growth.

Earlier, Daasebre Oti Boateng appealed to government to harness the institutional potential of chieftaincy for sustainable development.

According to him, the New Juaben Traditional Area had earned an enviable historic foothold in Ghanaian chieftaincy with the institution of the first post-independence traditional festival that has attracted national and global recognition, boosting the tourism industry in Ghana and also providing a rallying point to showcase and share the history and identity of the people of New Juaben.

“The history of New New Juaben, weaved through the Akwantukese festival and my leadership has been documented in two publications which are; “Development in unity and Compendium of Works of Daasebre Prof (Emeritus) Oti Boateng, which are now available on a prestigious global platform, the Amazon. This represents a historic landmark that has put New Juaben on the global map.”, he stressed.

Daasebere added: “I believe the essence of inter-generational leadership legacy lies more in the seed of inspiration planted to activate the desire of generations to be competitive in all endeavours in meeting their urgent needs”.

According to him, the product of this seed of global inspiration, planted in the New Juaben leadership landscape to instill the spirit of global competitiveness as their common identity, inspired the pioneering of Ghana’s historic first satellite launch, GHANSAT-1 into space to place Ghana on the global space engineering pedestal.

He noted that development has moved from a gap-bridging enterprise to character development based on culture, uniqueness and innovations.

That, he indicated were the signposts to build the requisite parameters for a holistic education in New Juaben Traditional State and Ghana in general. “Our educational system should be able to deal with our ecological challenges, cultural distinctiveness, community development sub-stratum, and above all inculcating in the youth the resolve to create and deploy innovative solutions to our development challenges”, he indicated.
