Former Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Blay, has insisted that the NPP government, under the leadership of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, did not mismanage the country.

He admitted that the country faced some economic challenges but indicated that it was not a result of mismanagement.

Rather, various factors culminated in the economic challenges that the country faced under the previous administration.

Freddie Blay spoke to KSS media in an interview sighted by MyNewsGh.com when he made this known.

“I’m 80% convinced that there was no mismanagement. So let’s admit it, it happened; people were not happy and it turns out it was because of the economy.

"We were caught up in the jaws of difficulties and as I said, a greater percentage of the Ghanaian populace ordinarily would have supported the NPP, but they were angry. The voter apathy argument went on largely against NPP,” he told KSS media.
