I'm Not A Coward Like Kufuor - Rawlings

"If Suzy Were My Daughter, I will not Deny It

President Rawlings has described as unfortunate attempts being made by President Kufour and his media collaborators to create the impression that he has also fathered a child out of wedlock like Kufuor has done.

Last Friday, some pro-NPP newspapers carried stories insinuating that the former President was the real father of the late actress, Suzy Williams who died in a car crash not too long ago.

Speaking to the Lens, President stated: "I do not know the late actress nor her mother. If she were my child, I will certainly not be cowardly enough to deny her."

President Rawlings explained that the story was just a typical attempt by Kufuor and his paid media folks to create a diversion from Kufuor's gross irresponsibility in the issue of his twins with Giselle.

"They are just groping for a diversion for Kufuor's irresponsibility. I am too noble, too honest and too responsible to deny my own offspring as Kufuor has done in denying the twins that he has with Giselle."

It will be recalled that President Kufuor has to date not had the courage to openly accept that he fathered twins with his former Economic Advisor, Giselle Yazji.

Giselle Yazji has emphatically stated that she bore a set of twins named John and Philip for Mr. Kufuor in 2003. According to Giselle, the names John and Philip were chosen by President Kufuor himself.

John being Mr. Kufuor's name while Philip is the baptismal name of Addo Kufuor, the President's brother.

The discredited deputy editor of the Daily Guide, Baby Ansaba, virtually confirmed last Friday that the story about President Rawlings being Suzy William's dad was simply an attempt to get even with the NDC for being behind the stories of President Kufuor's twins with Giselle. He was speaking on Radio Gold's newspaper review last Friday.
