The former Youth and Sports Minister, Mallam Yusif Issa says he is still a staunch supporter of the NPP government despite his present predicament.

Mallam Issa who is serving a four-year jail term said this in an interview with local station, Peace FM, at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison on Thursday. Mallam Issa however maintained that he never stole the Forty-Six Thousand US dollars which was meant to be paid as bonuses to the Black Stars players. He stressed that there was an orchestration to get him out of the Ministry by a syndicate and reiterated that, the truth will one day come out and the perpetrators would be exposed.

The young and energetic jailed minister said he is very healthy and strong despite the deplorable conditions at the prisons. Mallam Issa again emphasised that he has not abandoned his political career and he explained that he would become more active in politics after serving his jail term.
