Member of Parliament for Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency, Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin, has broken his long silence expressing high sense of enthusiasm on his new appointment, saying he is ready to grab his position.

The fourth appointment list of President Mahama named three former ministers, including E. T. Mensah, Cletus Avoka and Alban Bagbin, popularly referred to as the ‘three wise men’ as coordinators of presidential special priority projects.

But their new portfolios under the office of the President had received heavy criticisms from the public with some opposition members describing them as looters.

However, the former minority leader in an interview with reporters on Tuesday stated that he was yet to receive official notification from the Presidency on his new job.

“I think it was announcement of intention, I’ve not received official correspondence from H. E. the President yet, I mean it is a team work and at any time you can be call upon to serve in any position, is not for your individual interest, but for the national interest.

“We all have to look at it whether my experience, the knowledge that I’ve gathered so far could be better utilized in the area that am being offered and I don’t have any problem with it at all,” he observed.

Meanwhile, the MP responding to his critics rejected claims that his office is a duplication of position meant to find jobs for party cronies.

“I don’t know what they mean by they [the ministries] have their own substantive ministers but we all know that if you have to do business as usual we’ll be where we are and so I’m excited that the President is trying to do something different, now what we have to do is to support him and refined it positively,” he said.
