The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo has turned criticism about his height and age to his favour saying “I stand before you as a small and honest man, with a big heart for Ghana.”
Nana Addo addressing party supporters at the launch of the party’s 2016 manifesto, said he was offering himself as “a man born before Ghana’s independence, but the Good Lord has been good to me and blessed me with good health and the wisdom to attract and lead a competent and enthusiastic team.”
The three time presidential candidate of the NPP seemed to have been reacting to critics who have used his height and age as campaign tools to run him down but Nana Addo joked with it and delivered what some have described as a powerful speech.
He said the party’s manifesto would get “Ghanaians out of the hardships placed on them by the National Democratic Congress” if they are given the mandate to manage the affairs of the country.
