Attempts to collapse Ghanaian owned business; Zoomlion Company Limited started far back in the year 2000 under erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) for that matter, the current government cannot absorb all blames according to the Editor-In- Chief of the Informer, Andy Kankam.
“In 2000, the late President John Atta Mills called me he wanted to collapse Zoomlion because of information he had received from people around him… I advised him against such decision”, he revealed on Kumasi FM’s morning show hosted by Nana Yaw Mensah Joel monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
According to the NDC Insider, current happening suggests that politicians across the divide are always bent on ensuring that businesses that are not owned by their party members are folded for obvious reasons.
“Anytime NPP or NDC is in government, they try to collapse local businesses they think they belong to their opponent”, the journalist pointed out during an interview following Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams sadness about how various Ghanaian governments deliberately target, hound and kill flourishing Ghanaian-owned private business in favour of foreigners.
“I agree perfectly with Papa. He has hit the hammer right on the head of the nail”, Andy Kankam said.
During his first sermon on Sunday, 1 September 2019 at Action Chapel International, the preacher told his congregation that: “The level of insecurity, envy and jealousy in this country is amazing”.
“And if you look at our political system, the way it’s designed, it enhances jealousy and envy”, he observed, adding: “It empowers envy and jealousy”.
“So, it has become a vicious cycle where we have become a society of bringing down one another”, he noted.
