I serve you with my heart, soul – Mahama

President John Mahama has said: "I will continue to serve all of you with all my heart and soul!"

In a Facebook post to thank Ghanaians for wishing him a happy 57th birthday today, Mr Mahama said: "I took an oath to dedicate myself to the service and well-being of the people of Ghana, and I stand firmly by that oath."

"So soon another year of my life has passed," he added.

"I am humbled by your support, and I thank you all for your kind wishes.

"I will continue to serve all of you with all my heart and soul! May God bless you all! May God bless our homeland Ghana!" he said.

Mr Mahama is currently in Malta attending a three-day 2015 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).

From Malta, he will fly to Paris, France for the 21st Conference of the Parties (COP 21) of the UN Conference on Climate Change.
