I sold all my properties for charity - Emmanuel Nyame

A man in Swedru sold all his properties to start a free vocational school and named it Show Your Love Vocational School

On our visit to Agona Swedru – Ghana, we randomly chanced on Mr. Emmanuel Nyame who told the team, he has this school that he runs for free and will like us to visit. We were overwhelmed. He sold all his properties, lands and took out all his savings to establish a vocational school for the community and named it “Show Your Love Vocational School”.

The vocational school is free, and you need not to pay anything to acquire knowledge and skills. Speaking to him, he amused us when he told the team he has over 260 trainees in 3 different locations namely Asafo, Takoradi and Swedru itself. He also caters for their food, shelter, accommodation and finances.

His vision is solid, flawless and touching, we chanced on the training and skills he was impacting on these young energetic ones. Training Hairdressers, Tailors, Seamstress, Pastry makers, Carpenters, Nurses, Sprayers, Aluminum glass, fittings and many more. The question is, how does he pay the teachers? We made a short documentary about his school by interviewing trainees and teachers. His film was added to our “Discover Agona Swedru” documentary to support his good will.

Mr. Emmanuel Nyame and Show Your Love Vocational School trainees told Benabi Discovery that they need help from organizations, government and individual. They most at times run out of food, they lack machines for their training especially sewing machines, they lack student materials like mattress, beds, carpentry tools and other learning materials which enhances their learning skills.

As a foundation, we deem it wise to campaign and help Show Your Love Vocational School. The Benabi Discovery Foundation team will love to build at least one structure to help these young ones study and acquire training skills conveniently.
