I’ve been vindicated; EC Boss is a foolish and stupid woman - Ayariga

Former presidential candidate of the All People’s Congress (APC), Dr. Hassan Ayariga has insisted he was right to have insulted embattled Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Madam Charlotte Osei.

“I am vindicated now to call her a foolish and stupid woman when she disqualified me from contesting the 2016 polls”, he said.

“I told Ghanaians she is incompetent and she has demonstrated it again. I do not regret insulting her at all”, the founder and the former flagbearer repeated.

Dr. Hassan Ayariga who has already indicated plans to lead a crusade for the removal of Madam Osei from office as EC chairperson stated the fight between the chairperson and her two deputies is not apolitical.

“We should see the rift as in house matter. They themselves are throwing allegations at each other. It is not a fight for we politicians”, he spoke on Kumasi-based Abusua FM.

“The NPP did not orchestrate the fight so Haruna Iddrisu and the likes in NDC should stop the politicization of the whole issue”, he told the host of “Abusua Nkomma” Kwame Adinkra.

“The NDC should stay away from Charlotte Osei because she is not a member of their party so they cannot fight for her”, Dr. Hassan Ayariga pointed out.

He, therefore, suggested that the three commissioners voluntarily resign to save the Commission from being dragged into the mud.
