I've created jobs for thousands of Ghanaians - Nduom

The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has held its second anniversary in Tarkwa with a call on Ghanaians to vote the party into power come 2016, for the rapid growth of the country.

Addressing the party faithfuls across the 10 regions over the week-end at the forecourt of the Tarkwa community centre in the Western Region, the founder and 2012 presidential candidate, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, noted that Ghanaians are suffering under the government of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He said though PPP is not in government, it has created jobs for thousands of Ghanaians and hopes to do more when the party is given the mandate. Dr. Nduom said PPP has competent people to deliver and is also prepared to work in the best interest of Ghanaians.

The 2012 presidential candidate pledged to use all the qualities and experience he had attained over the years to improve the current state of the economy which has slowed down businesses, leading to economic hardships.

Dr. Nduom gave the assurance that the PPP government would work hard to improve the socio-economy of the country.

The first vice chairperson, Mrs. Mary Ankomah Boakye Boateng noted that the NDC and the New Patriotic Party had nothing to offer Ghanaians, because they have failed to initiate policies that would enhance the country's development.

Mrs. Boateng, therefore, appealed to Ghanaians to ignore these parties and rather vote the PPP into power for total development. The constituency chairman for Tarkwa Nsueam, Mr. Anthony Korsah also encouraged members of the party to unite and begin their door to door campaigns to canvass for more votes.

Other leaders of the party spoke against corruption and the fast depreciation of the cedi, which they said, was affecting the local market.
