Former Deputy Energy Minister, K.T. Hammond says he is not ashamed to have hawked kenkey (a maize staple) as a child.
The Adansi-Asokwa Legislator and British-trained Barrister, also said beside selling Kenkey, he also hawked salt for his mother.
Mr. Hammond made the "proud" concession on Aempa FM’s Ekosii Sen political programme Tuesday, after he was confronted and taunted by his political arch-rival in his Constituency, Evans Amankwah during the programme.
Mr. Amankwah called into the programme after Mr. Hammond insinuated that the Kumasi-based business man was fraudulently claiming he was a lawyer.
After giving evidence of his law credentials, the former NDC Parliamentary Aspirant for Adansi-Asokwa then started to recount K.T. Hammond’s childhood history to show that he really knew what he was talking about.
In a riposte, K.T. Hammond said he felt proud to have hawked kenkey and salt to help his mother while growing up in the Ashanti region.
