“We were all working at a commonplace and we were not making money. We decided to go to American House, maybe our luck will shine there. So we hopped onto a trotro but we did not have enough money to pay for our fare.”
All efforts to get the driver and mate to pardon us for shortchanging them could not sail through, he added.
“My friends got into an argument with the mate and they all traded some cold words. I got down from the car leaving my friends to continue their journey. I did not know what happened afterwards”.
