Popular radio presenter Oheneni Ama Korankye, known for her work with Kumasi-based Sompa, recently opened up about a challenging period in her life.

After returning from London to start a business in Techiman with her husband, her wig and cosmetic business began to struggle, leading to financial hardship.

"My business dipped and things became tough for me, so my husband decided that I should go and learn interior decoration so that we can make some money from that. While I was learning interior decoration, I also started attending a media school. It is a process; God intentionally brought me down to Ghana for this particular radio job I am doing. Things have been very tough for me in the past. I was in so much hardship that it got to a time I had only one bra to wear." Oheneni Adazoa said in an interview on Delay show.

She continued: "Someone like me who had stayed abroad and was able to live a good life was now struggling to make ends meet. But in all these, I realized it was a process that God was taking me through to prepare me for what I am now. It got to a time when someone was describing me; all they could say was, Go to the woman who, because of marriage, had come to Ghana from London and is now struggling. People sometimes said this to my hearing, and some even ask, Is it because of this shop that is why she left abroad to come and stay in Ghana?"

Oheneni Adazoa has fast become the toast of the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi, and is greatly admired by many people on social media due to her unique style of presenting her programme through humour and satire.
