Former President John Dramani Mahama has said he will continue any project that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government fails to complete in their administration.

John Mahama mentioned that he is optimistic about winning the upcoming December 7 polls.

He was speaking in Ho on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at the Asogli palace, where he met with the chiefs and people of Asogli as part of his 3-day tour of the Volta Region.

According to him, when he takes office again, he will continue the projects that he started before he lost power in 2016 and also continue and complete the current government's agenda 111 projects.

"Even clearly, this their agenda 111 hospitals. Instead of starting the number that you can finish, they started plenty, and they are at different stages of completion, and there's no dedicated funding to finish it, so we'll have to come and continue and finish it," he said.

"It's taxpayer's money that has gone into it, so whether the project started in my time, started in Kufuor's time, or started in their time, any project that remains uncompleted and abandoned, when the NDC comes, we'll tackle it and complete it," he added.

Agenda 111 is a flagship project by Nana Akufo Addo's government to alleviate the plights Ghanaians go through to access health care services.

Some districts without befitting hospitals in the country are expected to benefit from the project.

Construction of the state-of-the-art facility is at different stages of completion throughout the country.

John Mahama further said his next government will revisit uncompleted road projects, including the famous eastern corridor road, the Ho-Aflao highway, and some urban roads in the Volta Region and throughout the country.
