A meeting of the Asantehene and Dr Bawumia
The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has assured the Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, of his unflinching spiritual support as he journeys towards the presidency.
The king, who described the vice president as his humble son, said he would continue to pray for him till the elections.
The Asantehene gave the assurance when the vice president and his entourage paid a courtesy call on him at the Manhyia Palace on Wednesday as part of his 3-day tour to the Ashanti Region.
"You have always been a humble son, power has not changed you at all, continue to be humble and serve. I am assuring you of my spiritual intervention for you till the day of the elections," the Asantehene assured.
The vice president received a rousing welcome in the Ashanti Region as he wrapped his campaign tour to the 16 regions.
