Bole, (N/R), GNA - Mr. John Dramani Mahama, running mate of Professor John Evans Atta Mills of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has told the people of his hometown that he would deliver and would not disappoint them when he becomes the Vice President. He told them that, a child who had clean hands can mash dawadawa for the elders to eat stressing, "I will ensure that, I can mash food for all Ghanaians to eat without injury".

"I bear no one grudge, hatred or vengeance. I am coming with clean hands and stand for what the NDC stands for," he told the Bolewura, Gbease Amankwa II and the enthusiastic crowd that welcomed him. "I am a son of this land and will build on the high pedestal of my father, Mr Emmanuel Adama Mahama, an MP and Northern Regional Commissioner in Nkrumah regime. left off.

"Like Prof Mills has said, I will support you to restore hope in Ghanaians to believe in the politician. I was a Minister before and know what it takes to build confidence in people."

Mr Mahama said the people might have rejected the NDC in 2000 and 2004 but then it is only a fool who did not learn from his mistakes. Mr Mahama said the NDC in opposition had learned a lesson which when corrected could lead to a progressive leap into the future. Rounding off his 10-day tour of the northern sector, people of Bamboi defied a rainfall to dance enthusiastically to give their son a warm welcome.

He said being the MP for 12 years, he knew what the area needed and would elevate the status like all other areas to enviable development status.

Travelling with Mr Mahama were Alhaji Huudu Yahaya, Vice National Chairman and Alhaji Joseph Saaka Akati, aspiring MP for Bole-Bamboi.
