Mr Martin Amidu, a former Attorney General and now Special Prosecutor has indicated his readiness to fight corruption in the country with or without the support from others.

“I’m readying myself for Ghana, I have been doing this for long and will continue to do so whether my nomination is approved or not”

“I don’t care about criticisms or who takes the credit, I will fight for this country at all levels”, he promised while answering questions before the appointments committee of parliament on Tuesday.

“Google” and read about “the man in the arena”, Mr Martin Amidu told Parliament’s Appointments Committee on Tuesday, 13th February during his vetting.

He disclosed that the wanton dissipation of state funds by public officials must cease indicating that the only way that could be done is strengthen state institutions and block the revenue leakages in the country.

“Ghana is not a cow to be milked and, so, will do everything possible, if approved by parliament, to block all leakages and fight against graft”.

“I can’t live in harmony with criminals and traitors. …decent people, I will live with them but criminals, I can’t”, the nominee revealed.

According to him, he is ready to fight with his last blood in salvaging the country’s resources from looters challenging the appointments committee to disapprove his nomination if it feels he is not right to move on that tangent.

“If you want anybody who will look the other way, just disapprove me”, the former Attorney General in the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) regime fumed.
