The Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, has pledged to elevate leadership in his constituency by delivering more developmental projects if given the mandate once again.

Speaking on Campaign Trail on GhanaWeb TV, he expressed his commitment to providing more effective leadership in the next Parliament, emphasising his intent to enhance ongoing efforts significantly.

"They will see a change in gear, we will elevate the leadership. From what I am offering now, I will move a notch higher. I will give them a much more effective leadership and with that will come many more developmental interventions in their lives. For instance, Agenda 111 that is being built in my constituency it wouldn't have happened," he noted.

However, some constituents have expressed dissatisfaction with the MP, raising concerns about the state of infrastructure and services in the area.

At Kpeve, which serves as the district capital, residents decried the poor condition of schools and roads.

"The state of the schools here is very poor. This is supposed to be the district capital, but the situation is shocking," a resident lamented.

Road infrastructure also remains a pressing issue, with residents highlighting the neglect of roads linking Kpeve to neighbouring areas such as Todze.

"When you go to Peki, they are working on minor roads to various towns, but here in Kpeve, they don't mind us. The road to Todze is so bad you’d think you're heading to a remote village," another resident stated.

The frustrations have led some residents to express apathy towards voting, with one individual boldly stating "I am selling my vote. If you give me GH₵1000, I’ll vote, but voting for free only for us to continue suffering is not an option."

Beyond roads, constituents also called for improvements in basic amenities such as gutters, access roads to lands, and water supply, urging authorities to address these pressing needs.
