The former National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Stephen Ntim says he will lead the party to win the 2016 elections if given the nod.
He disclosed this to DAILY GUIDE after he revealed his campaign plans and strategies to some constituency executives in the Brong Ahafo region.
Mr Ntim believes with his experience he would bring the party to power in the next general elections.
He said he has the track-record of leading the party to win elections and maintain power.
The former vice chairman, who is a native of Brong Ahafo, noted that the party needs somebody from the region to lead the party to win the 2016 elections since the region is believed to be the decider of all elections.
He further mentioned that Brong Ahafo has been a swing region since the inception of the Fourth Republic, stressing that any party that wins the region eventually wins the national elections.
He therefore called on the party to allow him to lead the NPP not because he is from the region but his ability to win more votes for the party.
Mr. Ntim said he would unite the members and further strength the party.
“I am the party’s candidate not any faction’s candidate. I’m working for the betterment of the party not anyone else,” he added.
