Hon Eric Muah who has been re-nominated as DCE nominee for Jomoro District of the Western Region has vowed to work with everybody in the District without political discrimination if given the nod.
He made this known at the Jomoro NPP delegates' conference held in the constituency on Monday, June 26.
Hon Eric Muah failed to get the DCE position when the Assembly members rejected him on May 9, 2017 at Half Assini, he has been re-nominated for the second chance by President Nana Addo.
During the delegate's conference, Hon Eric Muah called on all the Assembly members to consider him and confirm him this time around for the sake of Jomoro development.
He rubbished some propaganda going around against him in the constituency that if he becomes DCE there will be disunity in the party and in the District. "I'm going to be closer with everybody in the District despite our political affiliations so nobody should be afraid of my coming, I'm there for everybody".
The DCE nominee said he can't sleep well because the District is lacking behind in terms of development. Other Districts are moving on but this is not happening in the Jomoro District, he added.
"Let us all be united and think about Jomoro development and prove to the world that we are democratic and united, I need everybody in the Jomoro District's support", Hon Eric Muah admonished.
He also used the conference to beg all the people in the Jomoro District for forgive him if he has wronged anybody and confirm him for the sake of Jomoro development.
Hon Eric Muah advised his well-wishers and the NPP party members to desist from any form of verbal assaults against Assembly members via social media and on radio stations by a section of his supporters.
He also appealed to his party members to support him and pray hard for him. He told his party members that he would leave a good legacy so that the NPP party will remain in power for long, and after his tenure another NPP member will take over from him.
Hon Eric Muah used the platform to expresse his profound appreciation to President Nana Addo for still showing keen interest in him.
Earlier on, Hon Eric Muah's contender Hon Moses Andoh who also shown interest in the DCE position, appealed to his colleagues Assembly members to confirm Hon Eric Muah for the sake of Jomoro progress.
Hon Moses Andoh who is Assembly member for the Elubo electoral area said Hon Eric Muah is a human being and he can't be perfect so anyone Hon Eric Muah has hurt should look up to God, forgive and confirm him.
"Hon Eric Muah has worked tremendously for the NPP party so his re-nomination as DCE nominee by President Nana Addo is in the right direction, he deserves it so let us confirm him because everybody time will surely come", Hon Moses emphasized.
Hon Eric Muah is the current Constituency Deputy Secretary and Acting Youth Organizer for the Jomoro NPP.
The confirmation of the Jomoro DCE nominee is expected to take place at Half Assini Assembly Hall next week and 49 Assembly members are expected to take part of the confirmation.
