A female graduate from the University of Education, Winneba, has set a threshold for the basic salary she expects to be paid when considering a job offer after her national service.
The recent graduate, speaking in an interview on the Maxi Empire DDP YouTube channel during her graduation day, mentioned that her expected salary threshold should not be below GH¢4,000 before considering a job offer.
According to her, during her national service period, she realised that there are a good number of jobs in the country that pay well. As a result, she aims to capitalise on that to enter into such jobs and earn a better salary as a degree holder.
When questioned during the interview if she is willing to accept anything around GH¢2,000, she responded by saying, "No, I won't because when I started my service, I got to know that there are really good-paying jobs; all you need is the connection. When I say connection, I mean when you are doing your service, you have to connect to people who have those offers to give you.
"I don't think I will settle for GH¢ 2,000…2,000 is below... as a degree holder, maybe some 4k won't be bad," she stated.
